I didn't know what section to put this under because all other sections are about CPP. If I take an external disk with WIN98 on it that has the machines driver installers on it but I want the drivers to install on the internal drive but the I actually don't have permission to update the drivers so the question is: How do I install drivers to an internal location from an external location? Like from a disk to your hard drive?
Driver installation is not black magic: it is merely automatic copying and editing of system configuration files.
So if you knew Windows in and out, you would know where to copy the files and how to edit its configuration files (.ini, .cfg and whatnot) and its Registry (which I'm not sure exactly where is stored).
I think you should post your question somewhere else, like a forum dedicated to Windows hackery. Mind you, this can be kind of illegal.
