False assumptions

Today I run into problems while helping my acquaintance to register on State Services Portal: it didn't accept his D.O.B. According to his passport, he was born in 31.11.1953. Do you see the problem? And data in ID and profile should match for you to have any use of it.
Heated discussion with support was fruitless.

I have remembered similar issues I saw: error message "Name should be at least 3 symbols long", account which let you add your spouse to it but does not allow to edit her surname separately, hard crashes because of "Trial period avoiddance" while travelling west...

So I decided to post some interesting articles about false assumptions programmers do, in case you did not see them earlier.
