Anyone ever go to a hackathon?

I got this email from the CS department today advertising a free hackathon in Santa Monica. There will be about 1500 programmers in a stadium, programming for 36 hour; and free food. You just need to be an undergraduate or graduate student, or if you're in high school, just have to submit something demonstrating your ability and they might let you in also.
