going from android to windows phone?

so recently my android phone broke, and i had to buy a windows phone to temporarily replace it, until i can get the money to get it fixed (and unfortunately that windows phone was the only one that would take my sim card so i could keep my number). I am having some issues adapting though and i was wondering if there were some fixes for my problem. firstly, whats the wp equivalent to jailbreaking/rooting? can i put a custom android-like rom on it? if not, then is there something i can do with the windows phone so i can a) switch between apps with the center button instead of the back button b) get it to save an instance of an app instead of just keeping it open and c) get a bar on my phone that shows time/date/battery life etc that you can then pull down like android and ios have?
