Dealing with paper notes and general orginisation

Whats teh best technology and system for the disorganised student? you know any tricks? ive listed my plans please discuss them maybe you cuds offer any help advice or similar problems.

in out trays; so I know where everything is going, will I use them

You know those handheld scanners? gonna get one for uni; maybe file all of my notes no matter how scruffy and may even at least have proof I did work even if its just an image of a rough essay.

Also a tablet; I dont have a second screen so this would be okay for referencing from, this could be a waste of money though maybie (I dont know).

stationary village; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gvZEB4s3-Y

I completely understand stationary village but I dont have the willpower to keep it together

Hmm I never had organization problems. I had a notebook per class. Sometimes two depending on the class (calculus always had at least two notebooks per semester).
I use Google calendar to keep track of due dates, setting up alerts for 1 week and two days before each due date.

What organization troubles do you have exactly?

§ A scanner app for your phone/tablet.

§ Document Wallets, colour coded per subject (Stuff all your notes in there until you file them) http://www.staples.co.uk/document-wallets-assorted/cbs/422339.html?promoCode=300300666&Effort_Code=WW&Find_Number=422339&cm_sp=

I also prefer(red) A5 to A4 and used a mechanical pencil over a pen, easier to neaten up notes after the fact.

Is taking pictures with your phone as good as a portable scanner?

Yeah I find that a fine liner makes me generally neater and more organised, im not really sure how that comes about actually, color coordinated folders are a good idea too.

I don't know the quality of portable scanners, it might be high compared to a phone but a good app only costs a few quid at most. the app should be able to neaten your captures and deal with curved pages of books and journals.
