Want to print flying character on console

Hi!
I want to print flying characters on C++ Console. i-e it seems to be flying from top to the bottom... likewise we use to play in the Fun Typing Tutor game...!
I tried it by displaying the same character on the next line at the same position and removing the previous character from the previous line at that location. But it wasen't successful... Somebody please help me !

It depends on the console you're using. Windows will be different from a Unix terminal.
