Progress Vs Python

I have two learnership opportunities. One is a development company that uses progress and the other is a .com company that needs python back end developers. I was wondering which one would be the best to go with? Please all comments are welcome i just need some help on deciding and would like to know other peoples opinions apart from my parents who know nothing about computers.

Stick with the Python opportunity. Progress is very proprietary and you are less likely to run into it in the professional world while Python is everywhere.
