D language

I'm learning D... using DMD, Programmer's Notepad and the Command Prompt.

The language, as I see it so far, is terse, simple, and powerful.
And it has a standard library geared for practicality... ZIP, MD5, XML, Base64...
I wonder if it should ever be standardized.

Now I don't know about computerquip, but I'll hang around, just to keep my C++ skills sharp.
I wonder if it should ever be standardized.

I highly recommend you to get The D Programming Language book (http://www.amazon.com/D-Programming-Language-Andrei-Alexandrescu/dp/0321635361/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326117354&sr=8-1) according to which is D2 tailored.
