Is anyone here into EPROM programming?

I came across an electronics magazine a while ago and there were adverts for purchase of 'Eprom' programmer units. I have looked online about this and it seems that coding Eproms is a hobby for some people. This seems very interesting to me. The problem is that the initial outlay seems really expensive for the hardware.

Not really much into this, just because of the Expensiveness part. And yes, if those things were cheap i'd have already been into EPROM/EEPROM Programming.
