how can I search Serial/USB-Serial ports for device names, so I can compare the info and select the correct com port for a program??? I know how to open a com port, but since USB-Serial ports change usually when you plug into differnt USB ports, i need away for a program to search for device names and pick the correct port. **I have searched the site and have not found any info on device info finding. thankyou chuck **Using windows 2k & xp - c++ language | |
