Why does VS Express still exist?

Hi guys,
I was wondering why VS Express still exists when we have VS Community. I only use VS Express because it takes up less space than VS Community. Apart from space, I cant think of a reason to use VS Express.
Will VS Community replace VS Express and are there any benefits for using VS Express?
Thanks :-)

I think it depends on your computer. VS Community needs a powerful PC with at least Win 7.
For older and less powerful PCs the Express editions are better.

@Thomas1965
Thanks for your response.
I understand that VS Express is less demanding, but I dont see why Microsoft would continue to develop such a beastly program like VS Express when VS Express would only appeal to a very small percentage of VS users.
Thanks :-)

I don't think that Microsoft continues to develop the Express editions any further. They are just available for download though not so easy to find.

Express still exists, targeted to specific platforms. Such as desktop, UWP, web. Community combines the features of the individual Express into a single package.

MS is really pushing VS Code, it works on Mac, Linux and Windows.

VS Express is still there because of the LICENSE.

A company could use VS Express to develop commercial softwares, but they can't use VS Community.
