Detect Singular points from a fingerprint image

Hii,

Iam working in a project in which I want to extract the Singular Points(Core & Delta) from a fingerprint image. Please suggest me if their is any opensoure or any algorithms available.

OpenCV^[1] would be a good place to start.

OpenCV Blueprints^[2] Has a section on fingerprint detection that may be worth looking out.
