How to keep a window's title in bold

I have a child window, that has children of its own. I want it's title text to be black (not light grey as it seems to want to be), regardless of which window in the app has the focus. I have apps that do this, so I know it can be done.

Is it window style thing or something?

I think WM_NCPAINT is what you need.
