Hey I'm just wondering if there was a way to have a program so that on the left side you have a tool bar basically and on the right side it shows your desktop. I basically want to put the desktop into the program. Im not sure if this is possible but if it is can you please let me know what its called or a tut for it?

You cannot put the desktop inside your program, but you can surely create a toolbar to the left of the desktop. These toolbars are called Application Desktop Toolbars, or appbars. This is what you need to know: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/cc144177(v=vs.85).aspx .
