adding functionality to form buttons

So I am writing a small form based program. I have my form created with all the proper icons, background, buttons, and output sections. From here, how do I add the code that controls each of these buttons. For example: I am trying to add a style of cut to a drop down menu, where is this done? The program gives me the .h file, but where do I define the functions and include the options for each of the menus? If it helps, I am using visual studio 10.
