Sound recording

Hello everybody!
First of all, sorry for my english - I'm from Ukraine.

I have next task: record sound from microphone to wav file when human talks and stop recording, when not. So we must start record sound when sound level greater then some number and stop recording when sound level is lower for a few seconds.

How to implement it? Which library to use? Maybe there are examples of code?
