Where should I go from here?

I am currently using codeblocks as my compiler, and I've downloaded visual c++, so I was wondering which one I should stick with if I want to start working with graphics, which compiler is best?

Also, can codeblocks use the same libraries as Visual C++? I like codeblocks right now but I haven't even started a project in visual C++ so I don't know which would be best.

Code::Blocks can be setup to actually use compiler toolchain that came with Visual Studio or Windows SDK, without using Visual Studio GUI interface.
