Msys install not working

When I install msys, I get the following error:

:\msys\1.0\bin\sh.exe: *** Couldn't reserve space for cygwin's heap (0x1470000
0x1580000>) in child, Win32 error 0
0 [main] sh 1048 sync_with_child: child 5672(0x258) died before initializa
ion with status code 0x1
615 [main] sh 1048 sync_with_child: *** child state waiting for longjmp
etc/profile: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable

I can't figure out the problem... I'm literally about to just give up on it.

in path, C:\MinGW\bin is included.

I created anothe rvariable name MINGWDIR (C:\MinGW\bin) but it's not working...

I don't know what to do, I searched the web and found nothing. Thanks for the help.
If you need any additional information, please let me know.
Couldn't reserve space for cygwin's heap

I don't know, but isn't MSYS MinGW? Possibly the sh.exe associated with your cygwin installation is interfering...
I don't have Cygwin. I should have specified that.

Also, it is working now, and I have no clue why, and it's pissing me off that I can't figure out what went wrong... It will probably haunt my dreams.... anyway, Thanks for the help, mabey speculation is in order.

My speculation:

I rebooted my PC, other than that there were no differences between then and now. I'm thinking mabey I should have just started with that 'traditional remedy'... lol
