windows os boot manager

so last night i upgraded my laptops hdd to a terabyte, and decided to dual boot windows 7/ubuntu. i hadnt done it in a while, and forgot that if you install ubuntu first, windows will over write grub. so my question is, how do i get grub back because right now i cant access my linux partition. if i cant, would it be easier to download one off source forge or write my own? i know that generally it would be easier to download pre made software than write my own version, but i dont know much about stuff that low level
