Given the recent state of affairs, I feel it prudent to remind the folks here that we have a small unofficial IRC channel over at Freenode (which migrated over from Quakenet).
The channel is #cplusplus.com. It's suitable for lounge and programming topics. We have people of various skill levels and backgrounds there. We also have reasonable moderators who are online most of the time.

I did not know we had one. I probably wouldn't have went through the small effort of setting up a discord server.
Maybe discord and IRC could talk to each other for funzies?
