How to display code tags?

I have seen plenty of others do it, but I can't figure out how to post a right or left bracket like such [] without the bbc code trying to read it. For example, when trying to show someone how to use the code tags, typing [ code] is the only way to show the tag that I know of without turning everything else into code. I tried using [[] to display just the bracket, but alas that didn't work. Does anyone know how to do this?
Like this: [code]
I have to try it to make sure it works, no offense -.-
Paste your code here
gives you

Paste your code here

...and it works, I feel like an idiot...thanks a lot shacktar

There's a button in the post-input area...
@firedraco Thanks, I did read that already, I didn't know about the code/output combo but that's nifty.

@darkestfright I knew that much, but I wanted to know how to make the
tag display instead of turning everything after it into code. Much like my second post.
