Is bumping bad practice
If it's been more than a day AND it's on the second page, I say its fine so long as you show that you've at least tried a few more things.
No, so long as you don't bump too frequently. Sometimes threads get pushed off the front page without any answers through no fault of the OP, and people often only look at the first page. In those situations it's definitely acceptable to bump.
I've seen people post solved threads with no additional questions. Just "bump". -_- Don't do that.
