problem in installation

I am new to c++. I am trying to install borland c++4.5 but my pc says"The app can't run on your pc. To find version for your pc. check with software publisher.
Suggest some methods to overcome this problem.

if this is correct and 4.5 was released between 94 and 95, i'd suggest getting a newer compiler/IDE..
Or get a PC which has Windows 3.1 as the OS.
i'd suggest getting a newer compiler/IDE..

The 64-bit Windows has a 32-bit layer to run 32-bit applications, but no 16-bit layer. Some installers for 32-bit applications, even recently, were 16-bit applications. The 32-bit Windows had a 16-bit layer. Were bits invented in the Borland 4.5 era?
Please can you suggest the new compiler along with the link to download it???
