They can do that without seeing the source. Rather, I refuse to use an anti-virus where I can't see what it's doing.
Letting a program have access to the lowest levels of your system, and not even knowing entirely what it does, has got to be the most retarded idea I've ever heard of.
Well, everyone has its very own thoughts.
I know I'm very... <insert word I cannot remember right now here> but:
1. I wouldn't install it because it's too risky
2. I wouldn't release the source code
3. I wouldn't use it without the source code
Can somebody help me find that word, so I can sleep with a happy face tonight?
Lumpkin, as I am releasing the whole AV for everyone in about 2 - 3 weeks because I am adding and changing few GUI in order to make it more professional.
The scanning is completely done and protections but there are going to be a heavy private testing session as well.
also grey world I don't see anything dangerous about what is it.
Not cautious.
The word I mean is when I have an opinion, and in the same time I have a different opinion.
Not multiopinionistic.
@SpaceWorm: Virus programmers will try to "hack" your AV, too.
That's what I meant.
@SpaceWorm It sounds amazing, and cannot wait to try it out. Also, if you are afraid of your pc being infected, install it on a Virtual machine (or a even VM inside a VM).
