No, you said it will only confuse them, not may confuse them.

My view on IDE choice for beginners is that they should get hold of a few and try them for themselves. Don't take my word that X is a better IDE that Y.

I never said MSVC++ was "better" than anything. I simply made a suggestion. If you think there is somthing wrong with my suggestion, I would like you to be blunt instead of picking out semantic nuances.
